History Launcher for Ableton
History Launcher for Ableton is a lightweight companion app that makes jumping back into music production faster and easier.
While it may seem like an extra step to open a separate app, History Launcher actually removes friction from your workflow. It eliminates the need to manually search for sets, reduces the chance of opening the wrong file, and even allows you to preview project details before launching
Whether you're picking up where you left off or digging into your archives, History Launcher for Ableton gets you into the right project faster. From the moment you open the app (which loads almost instantly), you can:
- Open your most recent project with a single click
- Start a fresh project immediately
- Browse past projects, in 'most recent' order
- Search/filter
- Typing the name of what you're looking for will filter out other results
- Auto-Close toggle
- Use it if you want to immediately close the launcher after Live opens
-
Disable it to continue using the launcher (switch projects) while Live is running.
It also has intuitive controls, like the ability to double click a project to launch, right click menus to jump to the folder each project is housed in, and ability to add favorited folders.
It works like a video game launcher, more or less. Open this instead of Ableton, when you're ready to work on your music.
There are many reason this is a helpful tool. Explaining all those reasons would take a lot of time π
